The MS Young Men's lacrosse team improved their record to 5 and 1 by defeating Whitefield on Tuesday afternoon. Despite being short 3 players and the Wolfpack's expansive roster, the Eagles triumphed in the physical contest through hard work and some creative substitutions from the sideline. Leading the scoring effort were midfielders Mathis Coutu and Whit Hughen with 3 goals apiece. They also split the faceoff duties going 6 for 7 and 3 for 3, respectively. Rookie William Haas debuted his faceoff career by also going 3 for 3. The remaining goals were split by attackmen Mason Bennett, Jackson Connelly, and Beckham Smallwood, who each scored one. The Eagles are back in action Wednesday night at North Cobb Christian.
